The 6th off-line edition of FIELD has been published in August 2007. For the first time, FIELD is issued on a DVD-ROM because of its higher storage capacity. This edition contains approximately 12.000 abstracts, 2.000 full text documents, and thousands of links to external websites. It covers 6 regions, all 191 UNCCD Parties and over 1.000 organizations worldwide. Copies of the FIELD DVD-ROMs will be distributed at the eighth session of the Conference of Parties (COP8) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) in Madrid, Spain.
